AUDITIONS

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Garrison Players will be presenting Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’ Dream in November of 2012 with British Director Tim Robinson at the helm. Auditions are being held early, in March, because Robinson’s vision of the production will require a great deal  of preparatory work to ensure all the elements come together successfully.

These auditions are open to everyone no matter the age or experience and all roles are available, with the possibility of non-traditional casting. If Shakespeare frightens the life out of you do not worry! There will be a session aimed at demystifying The Bard and his language before rehearsals start.

Auditions will be held on Saturday March 17th from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and Thursday March 22nd from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Auditioners are requested to come comfortably dressed in case they are asked to dance and to prepare a10 line monologue from any of Shakespeare’s plays. Resumes and Headshots are not required as the auditions will be recorded.

Some of the characters will need to dance and play musical instruments. If you can do those things well, that’s a bonus, but mostly some characters will be expected to do both, comically and badly! If you can juggle, sommersault, eat-fire (just kidding there) or something similar, that too, would be of interest.

Monologue auditions will be individual in 5 minute time slots, to allow for Q and A, so auditioners are asked to call 603 948 2796 to sign up. Alternatively you may email to whollyterra@hotmail.com. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask them.
