Casting for Guys & Dolls JR will take place in early April. To help ensure the success of this intensive musical production, scripts will be distributed to the actors in April, who will be expected to arrive off-book to the first rehearsal on July 13. Starting off-book means their lines and lyrics are memorized and the actor has a strong sense of the continuity of the storyline. This allows the performers to dig deeper into character levels, and fine-tune vocal skills, and solidify choreography during the shortened rehearsal process.
The June casting of Anastasia provides the technical crew adequate preparation time, critical for our dynamic, hands-on camp. Campers will not only be onstage, they will benefit from the strong educational component of this camp: learning about vocal health, character development, and the many offstage technical elements as well. The casting will be announced on the first day of camp: July 27. The first 40 students to register will be admitted. We typically have a waiting list for this camp in case of cancellations.
